With famous and widely photographed landmarks such as Notre-Dame in Paris, it is always a challenge to capture a unique photo. I am not saying this image is unique - it was taken from a busy bridge - but I like that it shows a lot more than just the cathedral, a few trees and thousands of tourists. Here, we get to enjoy the Parisian lifestyle for a few moments. The viewer is invited to sit and relax with the youngsters on the bank of the river Seine and peruse the amazing architecture without the frenzy of the many tourists.
The lens I used (35mm) wasn't wide enough so this image required a bit of editing in post-production since I took two shots and stitched them together. I also used B&W for a timeless effect and emphasize the lines and shapes in the frame.
