The last few days of the year are always a great time to reflect on what we have done, achieved and experienced. Since I have a bad memory - hence the reason why I take photos of places I go to - I thought I'd map out the places I have been this year.
It started with Florida in February including Miami, the Keys and the Everglades where we camped and kayaked amongst alligators, crocodiles and Tiger sharks. The same month we visited Iceland - quite a climate change; in less than a week we went from +32 degrees to -10!
I loved Warsaw in March with the Old Town and cobbled streets.
In Copenhagen we celebrated Queen Margrethe's 75th birthday with thousands of people gathered in front of her Palace singing Danish songs.
June was the perfect time to travel to the south of France for a mini road trip through the Provence, Alps and Cote d'Azur.
Another highlight of this year was an incredible Indian wedding in London in August at the very prestigious Institute of Directors on Pall Mall. Although we were there for the main two days, the ceremony lasted over several days of partying, eating and colourful dancing.
September is always a good time to visit Europe and get the last of the summer sun. Rome was busy, fascinating and rewarded with a few days by the beach in gorgeous Sardinia.
Although Helsinki in October was unremarkable, the Henri Cartier-Bresson photography exhibition was fantastic and a remarkable highlight of this year. I don't follow many photographers and I don't often photograph in black & white but I would definitely recommend it.
I loved Tallinn particularly during the Autumn colours. The capital of Estonia should be on everyone's list of places to visit as soon as possible!
This is the last post from 2015. Happy celebrations jumping in the new year, and be safe!!
