I went to Chamonix during a road trip through Switzerland. L'Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix is purely extraordinary! The cable car to the top of the peak is a scary experience especially if you have an abnormal fear of heights like me.
Capturing the grand spectacle in front of my eyes was as tricky as it was extraordinary.
Showing a sense of scale is very difficult, but you might notice two little black dots towards the bottom right of the image. These are cable cars ascending, descending and linking some snowy peaks.
Here, we are already very high up at the top of the world. What we don't see is how far above the land we are. But if you look very, I mean very closely you might be able to see a helicopter flying somewhere in the photo.
I'll give you a clue; it is yellow and you can even see its reflection.
As I said you have to look REALLY closely. So close as a matter of fact that I made it easier for you to see with a close-up crop below...
