A 10-year anniversary is very special and so a trip to Japan during the cherry blossom season made it extra special! We travelled to Tokyo with its bright lights and millions of people quietly moving through the wide and narrow streets of the city, then took the bullet train to Kyoto, former capital of Japan where we went back in time exploring the many temples and meandering through the Philosopher's walk with hundreds of cherry trees in flower along a canal. We then headed back in time even more visiting Nara, another former capital where deer roam free around the largest wooden structure in the world which houses a large Buddha. Finally, we based ourselves in Osaka for the last couple of days of our trip with a visit to a viewing tower at night and a day trip to one fine Japanese castle near Kobe.
I will be posting more photos in the next few weeks, but for now I have another trip to plan and organise...
