I visited Madrid with my family back in January this year and went to the Crystal Palace which is situated in the middle of El Retiro Park in the East of Madrid's city centre. I find glass and metal structures to be fascinating and very photogenic with the light going through the various glass panels. It was close to sunset and so the warm light was gently caressing the Palace.
I don't think this photo would ever win any awards but to me photography is about doing what you can with what you have at the time. I classify myself as a lazy photographer and I would rather seize the moment rather than spend hours waiting for a better light, a better sky or a better moment. Usually spending time with my family, friends and partner is more important.
