New month, new season and new resolution: Capture Copenhagen is changing name.
However, the blog and its content will remain intact.
What does that mean and why the change?
This has been a difficult decision and a battle between what my heart wanted and what my more objective mind advised me to do. Digital Craft Factory (DCF) is not new. I created the blog a few years ago and when I moved to Copenhagen I decided to start fresh and I created Capture Copenhagen for my friends and family. But my real drive is popular photography, not a guide to Copenhagen. Of course I live in Copenhagen but this is only for a few years. I will then move back to England, or even somewhere else maybe. And it wouldn't make any sense to call it Capture Copenhagen any longer.
But why the change now, and not when I move?
Because creating a blog with followers is not easy. It takes a lot of time and dedication. Although it is relatively easy to change the name of the blog, it is a lot more difficult to change the name of a Facebook page, or Google +, Flickr, 500px and other social media networks. So if I build up a good amount of followers on Facebook and 2 years later I move to another country (which will happen) then I will lose all those followers and will have to start all over again.
This blog is not about Copenhagen. It is about photographing cities, sunsets, landscapes, architecture, animals and so on. It is about Travel and Popular photography. Yes, I live in Copenhagen now so many photos featured are taken in Copenhagen. But it is broader than that. Digital Craft Factory is about sharing photos and tips about photography wherever you live, whatever city you photograph. Whether it is Copenhagen, Paris, Seville, New York or a small village, the techniques that will feature on this blog will be relevant to you.
I have updated my 'About' page and added a new 'Galleries' page that will give you a better understanding of what I do.
You can re-subscribe to this blog so everytime there is a new post you will receive it in you email inbox. Easy. For that you just need to enter your email address in the 'Subscribe Now' box on your right if you are reading this on a computer. If you see the mobile version of this blog then scroll all the way down.
You can also subscribe to my social networks:
Although I did everything I could to make the transition smooth for all my readers, in the next couple of weeks there will probably be glitches here and there and links that I forgot to update. Please let me know if you see something that doesn't work or if you still see Capture Copenhagen instead of Digital Craft Factory.
A word about the title Digital Craft Factory:
While I love photography and teaching photography I also love digital paintings, graphic design, as well as the use of textures, fonts and colours to create digital graphic art.
