A couple of months ago I went for a walk along one of Copenhagen's waterfronts and took a few photos, of course. It was a stormy day with great clouds and colours. Kalvebod Bølge (meaning Kalvebod Wave) is a waterfront promenade situated in front of Islands Brygge - and its outdoor swimming pool which has just opened for the summer.
The promenade rises to different levels and stretches out into the harbour providing space for a range of water activities, such as Kayaking.
Further along Kalvebod Bølge there is another outdoor swimming pool, which is also open for the summer - and the brave people out there.
The Black Diamond was finished in 1999 as an extension of the Royal Library. Apart from being a library, the building also houses the National Museum of Photography, a bookshop, a cafe, a restaurant, a roof-deck and the Dronningesalen concert and theatre hall which seats 600 people.
